About
One craftsman, one workshop, care in every piece
Javaga was born in a small workshop in Baku. Every bag and every wallet here comes from the hands of one craftsman — unhurried, without a production line, made to last for years.

The craftsman
Working with leather is a craft for us. The craftsman makes each piece from start to finish: selecting the leather, cutting the parts, stitching by hand and burnishing the edges. That's why no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

The workshop
Many of the tools in our workshop haven't changed in generations: knives, stitching irons, wax and thread. We work in small batches so each piece gets the time it deserves.

The making process
A wallet is several hours of work; a bag takes several days. Every stage — selecting, cutting, stitching and burnishing — is done by hand. The result is something that grows more beautiful the more you use it.
From a hide to a finished piece
Selecting the leather
We inspect every hide by hand and choose only the soundest parts.
Cutting by hand
Each part is cut from a pattern with a knife, one at a time.
Stitching
Strong, even hand stitching with waxed thread.
Edge finishing
Edges are painted and burnished until perfectly smooth.
Our promise
If a piece ever has a stitching or material defect, we repair it free of charge. We stand behind everything we make.
